I have worked with clients as a healer for 20 years. My training began with Reiki certification in 1987 and continued with certifications in Hypnotherapy, Massage Therapy, and Breath Therapy. The combined result of this work is a degree as a Transformational Therapist Heartwood Institute. I completed my Masters in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University, Santa Barbara in 2003. I am a certified shaman with The Four Winds Society, with my studies focusing on Shamanism from the Americas.

The work I offer now is a compilation of all these modalities with emphasis on the psychotherapy and the shamanism. I utilize psychotherapy and hypnotherapy initially to assist with identifying the core issue(s). Shamanism then allows us to take what we register as words, feelings, and discomforts in the body and address them on the energetic level. I help my clients to experience the imbalances on the level of the energetic, outside of the constraints of time and space. Through a breathwork-oriented session, we heal these imbalances within the energy field as we examine their origins.
After delving into a more “altered state” during the shamanic portion of a session, I again utilize psychotherapy to help my client integrate what she or he experienced energetically into their everyday world. This parallels some of Carl Jung’s work as we create ceremony and myth to integrate a new energetic archetype into the client’s life.
